i'm proposing a fundraiser to help my dad out in the philippines. i'm 80% sure that i'm going to see him from mid to end of july. let me know what you guys think that'll help pull it off. here are some ideas that we've done in the past to raise money quickly...
1. golf tourney
2. dinner/dancing (white pants party)
3. beer pong
4. kegger
5. straight up donations for things that'll help

I think that you will have *great success* taking advantage of what people were going to do anyway, and charging them just a little bit extra. So definitely, in the summer, anything involving drinking or being outdoors is a plus. For minimal thinking, I think that the golf outing and beer pong are the easiest to do.
Also, you could just rent out a bar and do an open bar special. If you time it correctly, say a day the Cubs play and win, you can get a lot of drunk Cubs fans to help out.

Just kidding, I'm in for whatever, except maybe beer pong, things get a little crazy at those events.
